Introduction
The Computer Information Systems Technology program is an Associate Degree and Certificate awarding program. Emphasis is placed on hands-on training in microcomputer operating systems, applications, programming languages, and networking equipment. After completing a degree in the Computer Information Systems Technology program, a student will have the skills to fulfill entry-level positions in computer support and operations, networking, and software development fields in the industry.
A graduate of the Computer Information Systems Technology program may become employed in many entry-level positions such as Computer Technician, Web Designer, Cyber Specialist, Computer Programmer, Help Desk Specialist, Computer Lab Manager, Database Analyst, Systems Analyst, Network Specialist, or Test Engineer.
