Introduction
This qualification reflects commercial cooks who have a supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems. This qualification provides a pathway to work in restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops or running a small business in these sectors. In short, this course will provide students with:
- Training and skills development in Commercial Cookery
- Training that incorporates the following key competencies: collecting, analysing and organising information; working with others; using mathematical ideas and techniques; solving problems and using technology
