Students who complete the course of study for the animal welfare program may pursue careers such as animal control officer, zookeeper or non-profit worker in shelters or other aid organizations. Students may also choose to become a veterinarian, researcher or educator.

Certificate programs, which can be earned in about a year, consist of academic classes that are offered at different skill and ability levels. Undergraduate as well as graduate students, depending on their field of study, may obtain certificates.
