Universities and colleges set their own admission requirements for higher education courses, so they vary broadly. Depending on the course, students may be able to get into higher education with a range of qualifications. If you're applying to do a course, you may find that work experience is taken into consideration alongside any qualifications you have. Some higher education institutes and colleges offer courses as preparation for a certain type of degrees. They usually don't result in separate criteria as they simply qualify you to enter the degree program itself. Courses can be taught in a broad selection of fields of study.
Businesses in airline manufacturing and flight control, among others, may hire students who have studied aviation. This field deals with the practical aspects of air travel, such as design, use and environmental impact. It also includes study in engineering and physics.

FIRST OFFICER PROGRAM | FROM ZERO TO HERO
The First Officer Program will take you from little or no flying experience to having all the licenses and ratings you need to work as a First Officer for European airlines in 20 months.
The First Officer Program (FOP) is a comprehensive integrated flight training program where theory- and flight lessons are mixed, giving you an exciting balance between academic studies and hands-on flight experience.
In the first stages of flight training, you will be conducting all of your flights in Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC), flying by the use of outside reference and a map. In the early stages, the main focus will be on mastering the four fundamentals of flying (climbs, descents, turns and flying straight-and-level). As you progress you will start learning how to land the aircraft and become proficient enough to do your first solo flight....

The ICARUS Wings FCL Failed Exam Recuperation (Language Proficiency) course is specifically designed for pilots who have failed their ICAO Language Proficiency Exam and have obtained a non-operational level (ICAO Level 3 or below).
This is a one week course divided into 8 modules and 6 hours of practical application sessions conducted in a state of the art FTD flight simulator – Boeing 737-800 or Airbus A320. At the end of the week, the pilot will be ready to re-sit the exam and should be able to obtain a minimum operational pass level (ICAO Level 4). Each pilot will have an individual assessment during the course focusing on strengths and weaknesses to better prepare the student to pass the exam.

A multi-engine rating allows a pilot to operate as pilot-in-command of an aircraft with more than one engine.
The multi-engine rating is for those pilots who want the security of having a second engine available in the event of an engine failure. The multi-engine rating is also essential for pilots moving up to charter, corporate, or airline aviation. Up to this point, you have maintained proficiency in a single engine aircraft. However, the multi-engine rating will allow you to fly airplanes with two, three, four, or more engines.
During training the student will be exposed to a new aircraft with two engines, and be trained by a qualified and proficient instructor pilot on normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures. Extensive time will be allocated towards engine-out procedures, or the loss of an engine during takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, and missed approach phases of flight. In general, multi-engine flying keeps you busier because you are now monitoring and managing two separate engines. The instructor pilot will also train you to proficiency on stalls, steep turns, single engine taxi, short field and soft field takeoffs and landings, crosswind landings, and a variety of different real flying scenarios....

The Aircraft Dispatcher is a licensed airman certificated by a Civil Aviation Administration. He/She has joint responsibility with the captain for the safety and operational control of flights under his/her guidance. To achieve best economics practices, passengers service and operational control, the Flight dispatcher analyses and evaluates meteorological information to determine potential hazards to safety of flight and to select the most desirable and economical route of flight, computes the amount of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to type of aircraft, distance of flight, maintenance, limitations, weather conditions and minimum fuel requirements prescribed by aviation regulations....
