The Intensive English Program (IEP) at NWTC is designed to prepare students for the academic language demands of college-level coursework. The IEP offers two levels of English instruction: Intermediate and Advanced. Students attend class 4 hours daily in Listening/Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Grammar. Students also have access to the language lab for independent study and practice in the afternoon. The IEP instructors have many years of experience and have lived and/or taught extensively in other countries.

With ELS Language Experience+ 3, you can work toward improving your English for 3 hours each day. Your classes will focus on the conversation that you can use inside of the classroom, and more importantly, outside in the real world. You also have the opportunity to put your new speaking skills to use with a variety of cultural activities specific to the Center you choose.
You can start any Monday of the year and stay for as few or as many weeks as you like. The program’s 3 levels of instruction – basic, intermediate, and proficient – have a placement test each Monday for students to advance in levels, and a certificate of completion is awarded based on attendance. The choice is yours. Choose ELS Language Experience+ 3....
If you would like to study Mandarin in Hong Kong, both our Intensive 24 Mandarin Course and our Intensive 15 Mandarin Course offer local and overseas students full-time study at our (Hong Kong) Centre with Hong Kong Immigration Department student visa sponsorship included.
The courses are based on either 24 hours per week or 15 hours per week of general Mandarin language study; the choice is yours. What’s more, our flexible class schedule allows you to choose either AM or PM classes.

ALA's Intensive English Program (IEP) is designed to offer the quickest and best learning experience and support to serious English learners to meet their needs for academic or career purposes. ALA offers seven proficiency levels of instruction: Introduction, Foundation English (Levels 1-3), Academic (Levels 4-5), and Advanced (Level 6).
