Introduction
Who is this course for?
This qualification is suitable for individuals who are required to apply project management skills and knowledge. They may manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. They have project leadership and management roles and are responsible for achieving project objectives. They possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialized, technical and managerial competencies to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
Assessment Summary
Theory and practical knowledge and skills are assessed within a classroom environment and are completed on a unit-by-unit basis using a range of assessment methods.
Assessment methods may cover written questions, scenarios, projects, group activities, observations, and presentations. Students will also be required to complete assessment tasks in their own time.
Learning Outcome
Potential students for this course are students aiming to improve their skills and knowledge in project management.
This course may lead to roles such as Project Leader/Team Leader, Project Contract Manager, Project Manager, Project Vendor Manager.
Delivery Mode
For each unit, students will be required to attend face to face classes, and complete self-paced activities and assessment tasks.
Pathways
Students who successfully complete the assessment requirements for BSB51415 Diploma of Project Management will be issued with a certificate and may be eligible for entry into a number of Australian Qualifications.

*Please note that the timetable is subject to change. FOCUS reserves the right to make adjustments to the timetable of all its classes to best suit the academic requirements of the programs. Each VET batch in a course has been allocated with space for 16 hours per week. The 4-hour self-directed learning may take place on campus or off campus. Students may use the computer lab space or classroom space based on availability.
