Introduction
This course offers the opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills to access a wide range of career opportunities in the floristry industry. It provides the opportunity to develop basic floristry skills by assembling designs, with support and guidance in practical workshops, coursework, and industrial experience.
The course comprises one core unit and some practical units to develop further skills and bridal knowledge. The three practical units are: assembling floristry designs, floristry designs in a medium, and basic display techniques.
Achievement leads to employment within the industry or further courses in this field.
The course timetable is structured to permit and encourage work placement and additional seasonal opportunities.
You need a minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-3 or equivalent, including maths or English for entry. Or Level 2 Diploma in Floristry.
