This course explores topics such as the foundations of physics, forces, and motion, electrons, waves and photos, astrophysics and particles, along with developing your practical physics skills.

Many of our students go on to enjoy a broad range of opportunities after completing their A-Level courses, typically choosing three or four A-Levels for a two-year study programme. A-level programmes are made up of two halves. The first year is called an AS Level. The second year is called an A2. The two halves make up the final A-level grade.

Notre Dame is a specialist A-level provider and our aim is to deliver the very best A-Level programme we can. All our students are aged 16-19 and are preparing for university by studying A-Levels, the advanced level qualification which forms the traditional route to university.

A level courses are a natural choice for you if you have enjoyed studying and have been successful on your GCSE courses. They offer you the chance to focus your attention on a smaller number of subjects – usually 3 or 4. This helps to build your knowledge and understanding in the areas in which you have proven strengths and strong interest.
