The Associate of Applied Science in Cyber Security degree is designed to prepare students for various entry-level technician opportunities in the information security sector with emphasis on cyber security in government, private sector, and law enforcement agencies. The program consists of four emphasis tracks leading to the Associate of Applied Science Degree. Students may specialize in Cyber Defense, Information Assurance, Network Security Administration, or System Security Administration.

The Cybersecurity and Computer Forensics program prepares students for entry-level employment in cybersecurity and computer forensics careers including cyber incident and response, vulnerability detection and assessment analysis, computer forensic analyst, and computer forensics investigator.

This program builds on the Cybersecurity certificate program to further develop the skills necessary for students to be successful in environments where business and technical requirements constantly evolve. In addition to the targeted cybersecurity curriculum of the certificate program, students will gain additional business and data analysis skills while also having the opportunity to further explore networking, systems management, or programming.

This program provides in-depth instruction on information security. Students will learn techniques, methods, and policies that help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of information and data in workplace environments and will learn how to protect those systems from malicious attacks and misinformation.

The AAS in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy prepares students for entry-level positions in cyber security and data privacy. Graduates will be prepared to become leaders in cybersecurity, with a solid understanding of security technology and privacy laws, preparing them to make knowledgeable and responsible decisions. The program also offers students a transfer option to four-year institutions.

This program is designed to fill a critical and growing need for cyber security personnel in the public and private sectors. Students completing this curriculum will be capable of investigating computer crimes, properly seizing and recovering computer evidence, and aiding in the prosecution of cyber criminals. To combat computer-related crime, students in the Cyber Security and Digital Crime program will also understand countermeasures against hacking, spam, and computer viruses through network intrusion detection and evidence gathering.

The Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity Management Technology will be a 60 credit-hour program that will prepare students for business and industry positions to prevent the threat from attacks on information systems. Students will focus on the methods used to attack computer information systems and learn how to protect and counter such attacks.

The Cyber Technician Program is designed to prepare students for entry into the industry of installing, maintaining, and repairing computers, enterprise, and small office networks and cybersecurity systems. The program prepares students for the CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ Certification examinations. These exams measure the knowledge and skills expected of entry-level technicians. The CompTIA certifications are recognized throughout the country as the industry standard.
