In this program, you’ll learn to inspect, service, and repair airplanes and helicopters of all sizes. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-approved courses provide a well-rounded education in general aviation mechanics. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with aircraft structures, engines, hydraulics, electrical wiring, flight instruments, and other aviation components and systems.

The Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Technology degree program is designed to enable graduates to enter various fields of the industry after completing two years of study. Graduates may also elect to continue their education in the four-year Industrial Technology Program. Graduates of the two-year curriculum will be awarded the degree of Associate of Applied Science.

Participants must be members of a paid or volunteer fire department. Technical skill training and certifications are offered through fire departments. Once the required training and certifications are acquired, fire service technology credits can be transcripted. Northampton’s electrical technology program offers a range of stackable degrees; starting with a specialized diploma that can be completed in an AAS degree requiring a minimum of 63 credits. All of our electrical programs are designed to be completed on either a full-time or a part-time basis, with most courses available in the evenings as well as during the day.

However, there are some senior institutions where all or part of this degree is accepted as the first two years of a four-year program. You will be trained in all phases of over-the-road truck repair, including electrical/electronic systems, engines, power trains, suspension and steering, brake systems, hydraulics, and preventative maintenance.

The Civil Engineering Technology program is designed to prepare the graduate for work with a civil engineer, surveyor, contractor, or materials testing laboratory to perform general engineering practices and materials performance evaluations. These may include surveying, designing, drafting, materials testing, and cost estimating construction projects.

Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CAD or CADD) technicians use special computer software programs to create drawings and sketches. They may draw objects ranging from simple parts to complex building designs or even small electronics components.

Engineering Technology applies engineering theories in the real world and focuses on application and implementation through hands-on training to develop product, manufacturing, and construction designs.
