Photography is all about connection: connection to the world in front of the camera, creating a unique unique relationship that connects with those viewing the images. On this course, you will learn how to make this connection. We also teach you how to create a solid workflow and how to use various cameras in our cutting-edge in-house studio. Here, you are given free rein to explore your creative ideas and experiment with them freely.On our field trips, you will learn the skills needed to excel in any outdoor photography and to be knowledgeable in the management of a professional studio. You will need to be committed to an intensive course of study and prepared to devote a lot of time to the production of high-quality work on this course. You will explore a broad range of processes and techniques, learning new skills in our fully equipped, state of-the-art digital photo studio as well as the traditional darkroom.

Preferably you will be sitting or achieved your Higher Photography at the time of completing the course. If you have your own camera equipment this would be an advantage but not essential. If you have a keen interest in Photography your application would be considered. Other than that, a good eye and desire to stick lovely things in front of it.

The Photography HNC is a challenging and wide-ranging course whose central aim is to introduce students into higher education and employment in the photographic industry. Students will develop practical, academic and research skills alongside their exploration of image taking and image making. The broad variety of assignments will help students to discover which area of photography they are passionate about, and staff will offer the career guidance needed to pursue their passions professionally.
