Acute Stress Prevention and Psychological First Aid course examines the current knowledge of intervening in situations of stress and crisis and the tools to help the individual.

The Technion’s semester study abroad program in engineering and science is designed to give international students a unique academic experience, as well as a chance to get to know Israel, the “Start-Up Nation.”

The Gap Year Program - Study Abroad encourages you to experience personal, academic, and professional growth. With Israeli and international students from countries all around the world, helpful staff, and trips throughout Israel, significant experience is awaiting you.

The Academic Research Internship program aims to provide a flexible tailor-made framework. Students from diverse academic backgrounds, both undergraduate and graduate, can conduct their internship within BGU and outside of the university, through practical work assignments and experience. The first step is to find a host with research interests that match your academic background and goals. An internship can be conducted in all 6 BGU faculties, in all fields of research.

The Hübner lab at the Galilee Research institute (MIGAL), Israel offers a post-doctorate position in plant ecology and evolution. The project involves the analysis of a species distribution and landscape genomics using advanced computational tools in order to study adaptation to future climate. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in spatial ecology and firm knowledge in species distribution models to join this exciting and high-impact project!

This fall we will be offering the following ancient language courses at our Jerusalem Campus, and/or Online as indicated under course descriptions: Latin (Levels I, II, & III), Ancient Greek (All Levels), Biblical Hebrew (Levels I, II, & IV), Classical Syriac (Level I), and Coptic (Level I). All courses are taught using the Polis Method, which is based on total language immersion from the very first class.

This fall we will be offering the following language courses at our Jerusalem Campus, and/or Online as indicated under course descriptions: Modern Hebrew (All Levels), Spoken Arabic (All Levels), and Modern Standard Arabic (Levels 1 & III). Modern Hebrew is the majority spoken language in Israel, and one of the country’s two official languages. Arabic is the language of 22 Member States of UNESCO, a language with more than 422 million speakers in the Arab world.

Remote Sensing is the technology enabling the acquisition of information about an area or object without direct physical contact with that area or object. Forms of remote sensing include aerial photographs (nowadays mostly UAVs), satellite images, and field spectroscopy.

The course introduces the concepts and application of geographic information systems and science (GIS). It is designed for students without former GIS experience. It focuses on the use of GIS for scientific inquiry and its application for real-world problem-solving.

The objective of this new one-year graduate program is to appreciate Jerusalem in its cultural, historical, and linguistic diversity. Students will spend considerable time in direct contact with various communities in order to gain a firsthand understanding. This will include overseeing socio-linguistic questionnaires, recording interviews, visiting historically significant sites, and meeting with community representatives. In addition, they will explore primary historical sources such as the writings of Josephus, Byzantine pilgrims, and Muslim geographers. They will learn the science of ancient inscriptions (epigraphy) with field trips to decipher Greek and Arabic incscriptions. They will discover the "other" languages of Jerusalem such as Syriac, Latin, Coptic, and Greek.

This course teaches the basic terminology, principles, and ideas of ecology while also covering the history of the science, its evolution, and links to other sciences. Subsequent lectures will examine these ideas at different ecological scales: individuals, populations, communities, and ecosystems. Human ecological issues will also be discussed where relevant within the framework of the course.
