Accommodation

To ensure the provision of exceptional accommodation for our students, Domain Academy has partnered up with Campus Hub residence, situated on the main campus of the University of Malta in Msida.

The dorms at Campus Hub have been meticulously designed and styled to prioritize comfort and privacy. The building offers various amenities, including an onsite laundry area, restaurants, parking facilities, and also a fitness center.

To foster a sense of community, the communal areas have been thoughtfully created. Each student common space is carefully designed to facilitate social interaction and includes a comfortable lounge area with a Smart TV for streaming and screen sharing. Additionally, there is a fully equipped kitchen with ample cooking space, as well as designated dining and breakfast zones.

Our campus consists of a three-story building that also boasts underground parking. This building was originally inaugurated in 2009 by the President of Malta at the time.

Campus Structure

Spread out across three floors, our building comprises 14 classrooms, of which 7 are computer labs, as well as 2 lecture halls. All of these spaces are fully equipped to facilitate tuition, presentations, group projects, and various other types of sessions in the best possible manner.

Classrooms

All classrooms and lecture halls are fitted out to a very high standard to include a range of fixed and flexible seating options, desktop computers (where applicable), whiteboards, audio-visual equipment, fire sensors/alarms, emergency lighting, and hand sanitizer dispensers.

Even though the digital world has transformed academic research, Domain Academy has a small library offering both physical and extensive online library access, providing resources both for our students and also for our faculty members.

Other Facilities

Apart from the above, our premises host a number of administrative offices such as the Quality Assurance Office, Registrar Office, and the Academic Office amongst others. On the third floor, one can find a recreation area with a large seating capacity, equipped with food and drinks vending machines, and with an outside terrace overlooking the Mosta Dome and the ancient city of Mdina. Parking facilities including an EV charging point are also available at the basement level.

Domain Academy premises are fully audited and approved by the respective government bodies, providing access for students with special needs with regular health assessments being carried out in order to make sure our premises remain fully compliant with the latest requirements.

Our premises are also equipped with elevators, a disabled lift at the main entrance and two disabled toilets on the first floor and on the third floor.

Free Wi-Fi and air-conditioning are available throughout the campus.

The Central Visa Unit (CVU) is the government’s immigration central authority responsible for the implementation of national visa policies and the provisions under the Schengen acquis (as far as visa matters are concerned). The responsibility of issuing a visa is shared with Malta’s Diplomatic Missions abroad.

The CVU is committed to facilitating the issuance of a visa to all those who have a valid reason to visit Malta.

    What is a Visa?

A visa is an authorization in the form of a sticker affixed to a passport that authorizes the bearer to stay in or travel through Malta during a limited, specified, period. The possession of a visa does not give the third-country national the automatic right of entry, as bearers must prove that they will meet the conditions of entry.

Notwithstanding the possession of a visa, border control authorities may refuse entry or annul the visa if it is established that:

    • The bearer is not in possession of adequate means of subsistence
    • The data submitted during the visa application was incorrect or falsified
    • The bearer is unable to provide details regarding the circumstances of his/her stay in Malta

Border control authorities may refuse entry also for reasons of security or public policy. Malta mainly issues two (2) types of visas:

    • The Schengen Visa (short stay), which is issued for a period not exceeding 90 days; &
    • The National Visa (long stay/ D-Visa), is issued for a period exceeding 90 days, but not longer than 365 days, and in accordance with the national rules.
