The post-baccalaureate program in Offshore Wind Energy Engineering provides a pathway for students from other disciplines to pursue the MS and/or Ph.D. degree program at Tufts. Students enroll in graduate-level courses alongside other engineering students to learn the core concepts of the industry. Credits earned may be transferred to the MS and/or Ph.D. program in Offshore Wind Energy Engineering at Tufts. Students in the Offshore Wind Energy Engineering program receive world-class training in wind policy, technical applications, and project management to prepare them for jobs in the global industry, academia, and the public sector.

In this program, you’ll learn to maintain, test, repair, and/or replace complex electrical systems and controls found in modern industrial plants and large commercial buildings. The program includes hands-on training in motors, generators, robotics, power distribution, and other electrical systems.

This Summer School offers 6 ECTS credits through the delivering of 52-hour lectures. Attendees will get an introduction to EM fundamentals and then they will learn how to apply those to the design and implementation of future communication systems, radars, wireless sensing systems, wireless networks and high-frequency circuits.

You will learn how to design photovoltaic (PV) systems for the conversion of solar energy into useful electrical energy for both stand-alone and grid-connected systems. You will also study solar radiation and its geometry to be able to extract the maximum energy out of solar radiation at a given location. The comprehensive course material also covers solar thermal devices.

BEng Energy and Environmental Engineering is a direct route onto the third year of the Edinburgh Napier University BEng Energy and Environmental Engineering degree program. A grade of C or better is required for all courses in the minor. The Energy Engineering program at Trine University is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to address the challenges of energy production, distribution, and sustainability. The program typically integrates principles from various engineering disciplines to prepare students for careers in the energy sector.

The Energy Utility Technology certificate offers students the opportunity to learn the critical thinking, problem-solving, technical, and soft skills required by the energy industry. All credits will transfer into the Engineering Systems Technology Degree.

The Alternative Energy-Solar Technology Certificate program is intended to allow students interested in an alternative energy career. This Certificate will provide students with the comprehensive understanding, manipulative skills, technical knowledge, and related trade information required to prepare them for the nationally recognized Solar NABCEP PV and SH Entry Level Exams.

Countries like Denmark already get over 20% of their electricity from wind. If we did the same in Canada, we would have enough wind energy to power 17 million homes!
