The Sacred Art School, training area of the Foundation for Contemporary Sacred Art, provides instruction in painting, sculpture and jewelry for students wishing to pursue careers as professional artists. A degree in fine arts can prepare students for careers in artistic fields such as a fine artist, an illustrator, an animator, a graphic designer, a printmaker, an arts administrator or an instructor in any of the visual arts. Within the major, students have the opportunity to focus on drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics or jewelry. Along with their art studies, students take liberal arts and science courses to build a strong curriculum.

The Higher Diploma in Fine Art is the equivalent to the Post Baccalaureate in the United States, and is known informally as the 'Post Bac'. This one-year course assists you to find your voice as an artist and prepares you for application to and potential enrollment in an MA / MFA program. The Post Bac is also applicable for students who have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a subject other than fine art and who wish to transfer onto a fine art educational track by progressing to an MA / MFA programme.

Through this Restoring Medieval and Renaissance Paintings course of study, you will have the opportunity to delve deeper into and experience the basics of the restoration and conservation of tables between the 12th and 15th centuries. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to discover and paint with the ancient technique of egg tempera painting and you will be able to directly experiment with the technique with pictorial retouching exercises.

The Animation - 3D program at Centennial College runs for 16 consecutive months. In that time, it will prepare you to successfully launch a career in digital animation, film, television, broadcast design, and games.

The Studio Arts program stresses a concentration in both Painting and Drawing but allows students to utilize a diversity of mixed media to be infused with traditional approaches of the genre.
