Natural hazards like bushfires, floods, cyclones and pandemics can cause social and economic disaster in any city or region across the globe. UNE’s Graduate Certificate in Planning and Management of Natural Hazards explores how societies can best mitigate and build resilience to natural hazards. We explore the geography of natural hazards and the planning and policy approaches that address them. You will learn how to critically analyse natural hazards and disasters, and the challenge of reducing disaster through governance. The skills you acquire will help you be responsive and adaptive in the world and your workplace.

The emerging field of health analytics extracts valuable insights from population data using statistical analysis and data management techniques to understand the health of your community and proactively plan for its future health care needs. With a focus on evidence-based decision-making, you’ll develop expertise in programming, statistics, and data visualization.

As a student in the online graduate certificate in health law and compliance, you will learn the practical compliance skills necessary for advancement in a variety of health care-related careers. The five-course curriculum provides you with an overview of health law, regulatory affairs, insurance, and healthcare administration, with an emphasis on healthcare compliance. Students who later choose to pursue the Master of Studies in Law (MSL) may be able to apply courses completed as part of the certificate to their degree program. Students are admitted to the health law and compliance certificate program in the summer.
