Introduction
Earn a Minor in Music at Azusa Pacific University
You’ll enhance your area of study and set yourself apart in the job field with a minor from our acclaimed music program. You’ll have opportunities to build connections in the Los Angeles/Hollywood music industry in addition to participating in solo and ensemble performances and honing your voice and musicianship skills.
Gain Hands-on Experience
- Intern with the Los Angeles/Hollywood music industry, local schools, and churches.
- Participate in a diverse solo and ensemble performances.
- Take voice and piano lessons with experienced faculty.
- Explore the integration of faith and music.
Curriculum
Music minors must maintain at least a 2.5 grade-point average in all upper-division music courses.

Career Opportunities
Art, Drama, and Music Teachers, Postsecondary - Teach courses in drama, music, and the arts including fine and applied art, such as painting and sculpture, or design and crafts. Includes both teachers primarily engaged in teaching and those who do a combination of teaching and research.
Music Directors and Composers - Conduct, direct, plan, and lead instrumental or vocal performances by musical artists or groups, such as orchestras, bands, choirs, and glee clubs; or create original works of music.
Musicians and Singers - Play one or more musical instruments or sing. May perform on stage, for broadcasting, or for sound or video recording.
