Introduction
The field of Animal Care allows students with a deep-rooted love for animals of many species to explore various topics and career paths. The ever-evolving role of animals, and their caregivers, in modern society, is creating job opportunities and career paths unheard of just a few years ago. Becker College graduates with an Associate of Science degree in Animal Care will possess and apply knowledge in animal husbandry, behaviour, health and disease, breeding, and facilities management. Employment opportunities for graduates of the Animal Care Program include animal control, shelter, rescue, behaviour and training, biomedical research, animal boarding, daycare, business ownership entrepreneurship, veterinary assistance, and more. Students can get numerous course hours utilizing the Becker Veterinary Clinic's amenities located in the Lenfest Animal Health Center.
