Fanshawe College is a large, publicly-funded college located in London, Ontario, Canada – approximately a two-hour drive from Toronto and Niagara Falls. There are 21,000 full-time students, including more than 7,500 international students from more than 100 countries.
The city of London has a population of approximately 400,000, and over 500,000 in the metropolitan area. It is the home to both Fanshawe College and Western University. London has amazing arts, markets, theatres and nightlife. It is known as the “Forest City” with over 200 parks and in a region surrounded by the world’s largest freshwater lakes. London has an international airport and is also accessible by car, Greyhound Bus, or VIA train. The Canadian Commission for UNESCO designated London as a UNESCO City of Music.
Fanshawe offers more than 200 academic programs, ranging from two-year diplomas and three-year advanced diplomas to post-graduate programs (one year) and honours bachelor degrees (four years).

For students who would like to study English first, Fanshawe offers an EAP program (English for Academic Purposes). There are ten levels in the EAP program, which run for eight weeks at a time. A free practice test is available, so students can estimate which level makes the most sense.

According to the most recent KPI (Key Performance Indicators) survey results, Fanshawe’s graduate employment rate of 87.6% exceeds the provincial average by two per cent. When surveyed six months after graduation, 80.2% of Fanshawe alumni report being pleased with their college education – and 94.2% of employers are satisfied with the skills and contributions of Fanshawe graduates.
All full-time students in London Oxford Street campus receive a full-time LTC bus pass, membership to the Student Wellness Centre, and health and dental coverage through Morcare. There are many clubs and sports teams at Fanshawe – for players and for fans!
Fanshawe has several campuses in London: London campus on Oxford Street, Downtown London - which is two buildings across the street from each other, and London South. Other locations include the School of Transportation Technology and the Norton Wolf School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology, which are both located on Oxford Street, a few minutes away from the London campus. There are also regional campuses in other nearby cities: St. Thomas, Woodstock and Simcoe.

London is a great location - a large city with a population of close to 500,000, so there is something for everyone. It is small enough to be more affordable than some of the larger cities and it is very student-friendly. Fanshawe College has a 90.3% percent Graduate Employment Rate, which is number one among Ontario colleges. There are also 60 co-op programs available, where students can "earn while they learn."

Fanshawe has a three-storey Student Wellness Centre which includes a full Fitness Centre, a medical clinic, a Faith and Spirituality Centre, quiet rooms and more. Career counsellors are available to students in the Employment & Student Entrepreneurial Services department. There is a newly renovated Library Learning Commons and the International Centre helps students with everything from arrival services to immigration issues, and offers assistance in multiple languages with flexible appointments to meet our students' needs.

London, Ontario, Canada is located two hours from Toronto or Niagara Falls. There are many world-class restaurants, shopping malls and entertainment options. In the winter, students can ski or snow-board at Boler Mountain, skate in Victoria Park or Storybook Gardens, and in the summer, there are many festivals in the parks. London is about a half hour away from beaches in Port Stanley and Grand Bend.
