Introduction
The Automotive Technology program at Manhattan Tech is a two-year, four-semester program that prepares students for an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. The program provides necessary training to diagnose, test, and repair modern cars and light trucks. Graduates are ready for positions as entry-level automotive technicians, service writers, experience, service managers, and automotive repair business owners.
The Automotive Technology program at Manhattan Tech is an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) certified program. Students in the program can be certified by the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) in refrigerant recovery/recycling. Manhattan Tech has articulation agreements with Pittsburg State University, Kansas State University, and Fort Hays State University. Through these agreements, students may transfer their MATC credits towards a Bachelor's degree. This program aligns with the Kansas Board of Regents Curriculum.
