This pathway meets Associate of Arts (AA) degree requirements with an emphasis in Philosophy. Completion of this degree opens doors to a variety of careers in sectors including non-profit, business, government, entertainment, and education. It also allows you to transfer at the junior level into a Philosophy program at a four-year college or university.
Students in this pathway develop skills in problem solving (understand, analyze complex situations, test taking), analytical thinking (developing and maintaining critical thinking skills, ability to understand different perspectives, apply extra concepts in real world situations, interpret ideas and enrich communication skills, information management (note taking, academic research, outlining, charting), writing (express information in precise manners), read and interpret text.
