Notre Dame Sixth Form College
Introduction
Notre Dame Sixth Form College
Notre Dame is an extremely popular and over-subscribed state college situated in the city of Leeds. The College is home to over 1,600 local UK students, and with an excellent reputation, it offers a supportive and exciting atmosphere for study.
Fee-paying International Students make up less than 3% of the college population and are fully integrated into our college community.
Notre Dame was established in 1898 and has grown over the years from a small chapel with just a few teaching rooms, to a much larger college where traditional buildings sit happily alongside the new to create the campus style site that we see today.
Notre Dame Campus is situated in the academic heart of the city. Directly opposite the University of Leeds and adjacent to the city centre, it is well serviced by public transport, shops and accommodation and enjoys a vibrant student environment.
Our classrooms, technology workshop, and laboratories are purpose built and well-equipped, and our other facilities include a sports hall, a drop-in IT centre and a large library suite.
Life in city of Leeds
Leeds is situated in the north of England in the county of Yorkshire.
Just over 2 hours from London by train and 1 hour from Manchester by car, Leeds is linked to the world through its own international airport, Leeds Bradford (LBA).
It is a city of 1 million people and is the biggest financial area outside London.
Leeds is recognized internationally as a leading centre for learning, with a total student population of over 200,000.
The weather in Leeds is temperate and is known for being relatively dry, particularly when compared to other English cities. Temperatures rarely fall below zero degrees in winter, and during late-spring and summer, the city has many fines and often extremely sunny days with average temperatures reaching above 20C.

A Level’s are internationally recognized qualifications, and some students decide to apply to universities in other countries e.g. The University of Hong Kong via the Non-Jupas system.
