This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills for joining and cutting metallic materials. This includes instruction in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW welding processes; oxyacetylene, and plasma cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Includes, welding metallurgy, structural welding safety, and applicable codes and standards. These skills prepare students for the following careers: ironworker trade, steelworker trade, construction trades, pile driver trades, and glazing trades.
