Graduate Specialisation Program in Welding Quality Management Course

In the area of welded construction, both in Portugal, in Europe, in the United States of America and practically around the world, strict compliance with welding standards is required, such as, EN 1090 (product certification and factory production control), ISO 3834 (quality requirements), Eurocode, ISO 14731 (welding coordination), ISO 9606 (qualification of welders), ASME BPVC (Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code), EN 12953 (boilers), both at the personnel level (operator, supervisor, engineer, etc.), as well as welding and control equipment and processes, among others.

The fundamental objective of the course is to provide specific training in welding, namely in quality management and control of welded constructions and their processes. The aim is not only to attract young students to a culture of excellence and innovation, but also to consolidate or renew knowledge for professionals who wish to retrain in the lifelong learning process.

The course schedule is semi-post work, between 5 PM to 8 PM.

The course provides the knowledge of multiple welding processes; welding standards, namely EN, ISO, ASME and AWS; and welding inspection methods, such as radiography and ultrasonic, among others.

The course gives skills of analysis and supervision of welding processes and inspection welded constructions.
