Our one-year Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) prepares you to teach across the secondary school mathematics curriculum for the 11-16 age range. You’ll learn strategies to help you teach a variety of topics in mathematics classes, including numbers, algebra, geometry, and handling data.

This Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics comprises four 30-credit modules from a wide choice. Topics include analytic number theory, calculus of variations and nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Extend your understanding of areas of mathematics applicable to science, engineering and technology. It’s also the first two stages of our postgraduate mathematics programme. You can achieve the MSc in Mathematics by taking a further two 30-credit modules.

Due to COVID-19, classroom courses during Fall 2021 will be offered in a live online format. We continue to offer self-paced online courses.

Students who successfully complete the AS-T in Mathematics earn specific guarantees for transfer to the CSU system: admission to a CSU with junior status and priority admission to their local CSU campus and to a program or major in Mathematics or a similar major. Students transferring to a CSU campus will be required to complete no more than 60 units after transfer to earn a bachelor’s degree.

The Middlesex University Dubai International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a 120-credit programme which aims to provide students with the required skills for entry into one of our undergraduate programmes.

This is a bespoke programme designed to upskill out-of field registered post-primary mathematics teachers to meet current Teaching Council curricular subject requirements in Mathematics at the highest level. ‘Out-of-field’ mathematics teachers are those who are teaching mathematics whose qualification is NOT in the field of Mathematics’.

The Associate in Science in Mathematics for Transfer is designed to facilitate successful transfer to a baccalaureate mathematics program. This degree provides the lower division breadth and depth of calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra. Students who complete the requirements for this degree will be prepared to continue their studies in mathematics. Students in the STEM fields can complete a majority, if not all, of their lower division Math requirements by completing the Associate in Science in Mathematics for Transfer degree requirements.

The Mathematics Department offers a range of courses for a variety of needs and plans of study. We support the professional and technical programs as well as the transfer programs. We offer several PreCollege courses that satisfy requirements for students obtaining certificates and students preparing for college-level mathematics courses. Our college-level courses prepare students for the sciences and engineering curriculum, satisfy prerequisites for admission to colleges of business and education, and create the foundation of undergraduate mathematics curriculum for math majors.

The Associate in Science Degree in Mathematics for Transfer is designed to prepare the student for transfer to institutions of higher education and is specifically intended to satisfy the lower-division requirements for the Baccalaureate Degree in Mathematics at a California State University (but does not guarantee acceptance to a particular campus or major). It will also provide the student with a sufficient academic basis to pursue a career in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, and education. Completion of the Associate in Science Degree in Mathematics for Transfer (ADT) will prepare you to meet minimum lower-division admission requirements (60 transferable units) for transfer to a California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC). Some UC schools may require additional coursework; please meet with a counselor for further assistance. The Mathematics program map below includes all of your major coursework and recommended general education courses by term needed to fulfill your degree and transfer requirements at a CSU.

The Mathematics and Natural Science Program provides a strong foundation for students who plan to attend a four-year institution and major in mathematics or one of the natural sciences.

During this course we study and develop social theory based on how people play games outside of behavior labs and thought experiments. What causes people to join games and how do games keep players engaged?

The Associate of Arts (DTA) degree is directly transferable to most Washington baccalaureate institutions (four-year colleges and universities). It is a general transfer degree appropriate for a wide variety of major areas of study. Students who transfer will be granted junior standing upon transfer.

Focuses on the use of engineering principles, simulation and physical models in product design. Hands-on exercises allow students to propose solutions to practical problems and to develop their ideas through the construction and testing of physical prototypes.
