The Postgraduate Diploma in Ministry (PGDipMin) requires one year of full-time study. The aim of the diploma is to enhance contemporary ministries through the incorporation of current scholarship into the practice of ministry.

The Diploma in Christian Ministry (DCM) serves as a comprehensive program of study designed to foster the growth and development of essential ministry competencies. This program is dedicated to nurturing personal and spiritual growth, deepening theological understanding, and equipping individuals with the necessary skills for more effective and impactful ministry.

This program is intended to provide quality, basic preparation for local church ministry. The primary purpose for offering this program is to support and enhance the Christian ministries of bi-vocational pastors and volunteer lay workers in the local church. It is intended for Christian adults age 23 and older. The Associate of Science in Ministry is not considered full professional preparation for a full-time ministry. Those who definitely plan to be pastors are advised to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Ministry studies. The Associate of Science in Ministry degree is designed to be earned entirely online.

Certificate IV’ builds more deeply on Certificate III, providing more Bible knowledge and practice in applied leadership in a Christian ministry setting.

The CBM is an internal SMBC program that all full-time SMBC students participate in concurrently with their ACT course. The program supplements and complements the accredited studies and is made up of a number of subjects and participation in the community life at College.

Cohorts are a group of students speaking the same language, usually living in the same country, who join together to complete a Certificate in Disciple-making or a Master of Arts degree following a specific order. All students take limited courses at the same time, with the exception of their online electives. All students are required to engage throughout the course of study in reflection on their ability to transfer classroom knowledge into action within a given ministry area. The Integrated Reflection Ministry Project consists of annual reports and self-evaluations submitted by the student at the end of each calendar year of their TCM studies. Also, annual evaluations are submitted by individuals impacted by the student’s ministry. Prior to graduation, a Final Report by the student delineates evidence of the student’s achievement of TCM’s educational outcomes, evidence of the capability to transfer knowledge into action, and a critical reflection on his or her own actions.

First Year Certificate intensive program is designed to provide students with a firm spiritual foundation to build their lives upon and a solid understanding of leadership demands and requirements. This certificate track is great for students looking to take a gap year after high school to strengthen their spirit and clarify their purpose.

Horizon offers courses that include a focus on Pentecostal perspectives of the topic under study. The Graduate Certificate in Pentecostal Studies allows for considerable choice in the courses selected. The School of Ministry is an integral part of Messenger College, and its curriculum and policies operate in full accord with the College’s program and schedules. Thus, the studies may be applied to any of the published degree programs where they apply, and all studies qualify for Federal grants and loans.

After completing the Biblical and Theological Studies program, students can participate in an additional year of on-the-field study and internship, known as the Advanced Biblical Ministries program. Upon completion, students are awarded a diploma in Advanced Biblical Ministries.

The Certificate in Theology is a 15 module, 120-credit programme and may be completed in one year of full-time study.

A Certificate in Church Ministry from Providence Theological Seminary introduces the student to basic theological content and various ministry-related skills such as Christian education, administration and leadership, and counselling, all within a multi-cultural Canadian context.

The Certificate comprises four (4) Units - 18 credit points, which students can complete through a variety of online study options.
