Along with our traditional programs of study, WKU also offers an International Pathway to Academic Success (IPAS). The International Pathway to Academic Success program is designed to facilitate international student success in several ways: exclusive courses designed for first-year international students, dedicated faculty with a commitment to international student learning, co-curricular support such as tutoring and academic workshops, and enrichment experiences to introduce students to life and study in the United States.

The Associate in Arts degree emphasizes a Liberal Arts education and is designed to transfer to a bachelor's degree at a state university or SPC. Along with classes to prepare you for your major at the four-year level, you also take at least 36 hours in general education areas.

The Associate of Arts (AA) degree prepares students for life as educated people and lays a solid foundation for further study. This two-year, 60-credit (20-course) undergraduate program is equivalent to the first two years of a four-year degree in the Arts. It prepares students to transfer to research or teaching universities to complete a bachelor’s degree or serves as a credential to enter the labour market.
