This program is designed to give licensed, practicing cosmetologists an opportunity to develop special skills in business-related activities and to earn an associate degree in applied science from Schoolcraft College. Schoolcraft College will grant credit equal to 30 semester credit hours upon receipt of current and proper evidence of license based upon the standards of the State Board of Cosmetology.

Students can learn all professional knowledge related to Beauty management and Spa in theory and practical to ensure they gain in-depth knowledge and meet the beauty industry's rapidly growing needs.

The course is for the spa or beauty professional who wants to progress into management or is presently in a senior position but wishes to gain the skills and qualifications necessary to be a more competent leader. The course is fast track, with face to face lectures and online independent learning.

Students will gain hands-on experience through a salon environment operated by the College and open to the public.

All the practical work is assessed in the salon on clients, and practical and oral questions prove knowledge. There are assignments and written tests in each area. A portfolio of evidence is built up throughout the course.
