With around 9,000 graduates thus far and roughly 4,000 students, the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien is Austria’s largest purely technical university of applied sciences. The educational offerings consist of 12 bachelor’s and 18 master’s degree programs, which are offered as full-time, part-time and/or distance study programs. FIve degree programs are taught in English, the other programs are only held in German. The educational offerings are based on a solid scientific foundation and are also practice-oriented. At UAS Technikum Wien, the emphasis is not only placed on providing a high-quality technical education, but also on subjects with a focus on business and personal development. Close ties and collaborations with business and industry give students and graduates excellent career opportunities. The combination of theory and practical application is of central importance in both research and instruction. The research and development activities at UAS Technikum Wien have grown significantly in recent years and currently concentrate on our research focuses:

UAS Technikum Wien was founded in 1994 and in 2000 it became the first institution in Vienna to receive the status of a university of applied sciences. It became a member of the European University Association (EUA) in 2012 and is also a network partner of FEEI – Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industries.

The current pre-college program is designed as a preparatory course lasting four semesters for international students intending to take the admission test for the UAS Technikum Wien or embark on a course of study in Austria. The PCP ex is designed specially for students who have little or none skills in German language.

Prospective international students attend intensive courses in German English Mathematics Physics Computer science Electrical engineering Biology

After successfully completing the preparatory course, graduates will have attained the minimum requirement "German B2" according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and passed any additional exams required to be able to apply for a course at UAS Technikum Wien. This means that, after completion of the Pre College Program, it is possible to immediately begin participating in the standard application process for a Bachelor's or Master's program. Completing the PCP does not guarantee admittance to the study programs of UAS Technikum Wien. In addition to the intensive level of language and specialist education, great store is also set by the students doing leisure activities together and familiarizing themselves with Vienna as a potential place of study. By the same token, support is given during the "acclimatization phase" phase in Vienna and when completing all of the necessary formalities.... [-]
