The International Summer Programme offers the unique opportunity to experience courses taught in the Scottish academic tradition by current University faculty.

During their time in St Andrews, students will be offered an insight into academic life in one of the world’s oldest and most respected Universities. They will live in the University halls of residence, receive lessons from current academic staff, and learn a little about Scottish culture and history through a number of educational and enjoyable excursions.

The University

The University of St Andrews was founded in 1413 and over the last 600 years has established a reputation as one of the world’s leading research and teaching centres. Getting to St Andrews

St Andrews is approximately one hour from the capital city, Edinburgh, with easy links by road or by rail to the nearest train station at Leuchars, which is 10 minutes from town. There are regular direct buses and trains from central Edinburgh to St Andrews. Many airlines operate direct flights from international destinations to Edinburgh or Glasgow, or a connection to Edinburgh from another major city such as London.Students arriving at Edinburgh or Glasgow international airports are met on arrival by our staff and transported to St Andrews – this service is included in the programme fee.
